Bad News for the Salary Persons. Government of Pakistan has Decided to Freeze the Pay and Pension Commission Report 2010. Report proposed 50 % increase in Basic pay of Public sector employees of Civil and Armed forces. Report also proposed for the start of indexing system to increase the pay annually with respect to inflation rate.
House Rent Allowance has been proposed to increase from 45 % to 60 % or 65 %. Indexation system was introduced in Zia ul Haq Government by his finance minister Mr. Dr. Mehboob ul Haq.
Pay as per Demand to Nurses and Teachers – Pay and pension commission recommendations – Dr Ishrat told Geo News in a Program on Thursday 20 May, 2010. Dr. Ishrat Hussain Told Geo News that commission has recommended separate Pay Structure for Education, Health, Police and Judiciary. Commission has also recommended Training and betterment of Police Constables and Transport or pick and drop facility for judges. Commission had also recommended increase in pension fro retired Persons especially for Widows.
